John Quirke started up his own business in Cahir,Co.Tipperary in 1976,having served his time in the jewellery trade in Clonmel. Since starting up in business his wife Margaret, has offered him great support,despite pursuing her own career within the ranks of A.I.B.

For the past 15 years Quirke Jewellers have sponsored the Man of the Match Awards for the Senior county football and Hurling Championship finals. We usually honour the recipient with a piece of Tipperary Crystal or a bronze statuette. The Cahir based company enjoyed the destinction of being the first officially appointed retailer of Tipperary Crystal in Ireland.
